At Winslow Art Center Studio & Gallery we’re excited to once again offer Paint Out Winslow. This year we’re highlighting our Island’s rich history by partnering with the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum. Participating Paint Out artists are encouraged to paint historic icons around Bainbridge Island. A portion of the sale of all artwork produced during the event will be donated to the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum.
We’re looking forward to welcoming overt 60 artists to paint, draw, and sketch historic Bainbridge Island. Artists and the public alike are invited to watch demonstrations, attend informative talks, and interact. This year’s event is open to professional and non-professional artists of all skill levels painting in a variety of mediums. Over the course of the three days, all artwork will be available for purchase at Winslow Art Center Studio & Gallery. The event ends on Sunday afternoon, September 8, with an awards ceremony.
Four locations are on the suggested list:
Pegasus Coffe House
Eagle Harbor Congregational Church
Amelia Wynn Winery Tasting Room/That’s a Some Pizza
Each historic location will provide a window of education hosted by the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum. A volunteer museum docent will be available at several historic sites on Saturday, June 7, from 10am to 12pm, to answer questions and offer insights about the history of these locations.
